Cookshire-Eaton has more than 298 km2 crisscrossed with scenic routes, several village nuclei, including Eaton Corner, the oldest village in the Eastern Townships. The municipality owes its surname to Captain John Cook, the first colonist to acquire land there in 1795. Architectural gems still testify to the significant economic development that this territory has known.
